Peanut Butter Caramel Bars

CRUST
  1. 1 package yellow cake mix
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  4. 20 individual peanut butter cups
FILLING
  1. 1/3 cup Sue BeeĀ® Honey
  2. 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  3. 12.25 oz jar caramel ice cream topping
  4. 1/4 cup peanut butter
  5. 1/2 cup salted peanuts
TOPPING
  1. 16 oz can milk chocolate frosting
  2. 1/2 cup salted peanuts
Instructions
  1. For the crust combine cake mix, egg, and butter until no longer crumbly.
  2. Stir in candy pieces.
  3. Press mixture in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake at 350 F for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  5. Meanwhile, mix Sue Bee Honey, cornstarch, caramel and peanut butter until smooth.
  6. Cook over low heat, stirring occasional until mixture comes to a boil.
  7. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer.
  8. Spread evenly over baked crust.
  9. Bake 6 to 7 minutes longer or until almost set.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Spread with frosting and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  12. Store in refrigerator.
